I have been creating photo and video content for businesses and organizations for more than 10 years. My goal with DIY media girl is to pass on simple tips to making better video and photos with the equipment you already have.
In my ten+ years in the industry I have created media for the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, Leave No Trace, The Audubon Society of Massachusetts, The National Park Service, Rocky Mountain Beer Holsters/Drink Slings, Race Across America an ultra cycling event, Early Years toy company, and pro skiers and snowboarders.
I grew up in Maryland, moved around the country to Utah, Massachusetts, Washington, back to Utah and eventually landed back in the mountains of central Maryland 1 mile from the Appalachian Trail. In all this moving around I managed to hold a few full time jobs, a few seasonal jobs and, where I feel most satisfied, as a freelance videographer/photographer.
